Middle School Summer School - GENERAL INFORMATION
LOCATION
Bammel Middle School will host SISD Area 1 campuses to include: Bammel Middle School, Claughton Middle School, Wells Middle School and students in these attendance zones who currently attend Roberson Middle School.
Bailey Middle School will host SISD Area 2 campuses to include: Bailey Middle School, Dueitt Middle School, Twin Creeks Middle School and students in these attendance zones who currently attend Roberson Middle School.
REGISTRATION
Dates: MAY 10 – JUNE 3, 2010 at home campus
Late Registration: JUNE 8 at Bammel Middle School for Bammel, Claughton, Wells and students in these attendance zones who currently attend Roberson, and at Dueitt Middle School for Bailey, Dueitt, Twin Creeks and students in these attendance zones who currently attend Roberson.
Registration Times: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

COST: Payment by cashier’s check or money order only.
ONLY CASH ACCEPTED FOR LATE REGISTRATION on June 8th.
SISD students only: Academic courses - $50
Transportation - $75

Courses offered in 2.5 hour class periods - 7:30-10:00, 10:30-1:00, and 1:30-4:00:
Gr. 6/7/8 Math
Gr. 6/7/8 Language Arts
Gr. 6/7/8 Science
Gr. 6/7/8 Social Studies

Middle School Promotion Standards
Promotion from 6th to 7th grade - The student must:
a) have a final grade of 70 or above in reading improvement (if required), language arts, and mathematics; and
b) have a final grade of 70 or above in either science or social studies; and
c) have an overall average of 70 or above when averaging the final grades for all classes; and
d) have met the state attendance requirement.

Promotion from 7th to 8th grade - The student must:
a) have a final grade of 70 or above in reading improvement (if required), language arts, and mathematics; and
b) have a final grade of 70 or above in either science or social studies; and
c) have an overall average of 70 or above when averaging the final grades for all classes; and
d) have met the state attendance requirement.

Promotion from 8th to 9th grade - The student must:
a) have a final grade of 70 or above in reading improvement (if required), language arts, and mathematics; and
b) have a final grade of 70 or above in either science or social studies; and
c) have an overall average of 70 or above when averaging the final grades for all classes; and
d) have met the state attendance requirement
e) have passed the 8th grade reading and math portions of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test.

Summer School Locations:
Bammel Middle School will host Bammel, Claughton, Wells and students zoned to these campuses who currently attend Roberson.

Bailey Middle School will host Bailey, Dueitt, Twin Creeks and students zoned to these campuses who currently attend Roberson.
